Our design roots are firmly embedded in the transportation sector with a particular specialism in automotive and aviation related projects. Doy Design’s founder, Gary Doy, has a wealth of expertise working with individual customers and major multinational brands, on projects involving executive jets and bespoke vehicles to specific products, such as ultra-lightweight commercial aircraft seating. His client portfolio includes Airbus, Bombardier, Virgin Atlantic, Thomas Cook, Ferrari, Maserati, Lufthansa Technik, F/LIST and Aerion Supersonic, as well as assignments on behalf of high-net-worth individuals.

GARY DOY | FOUNDER
Background
Doy Design’s founder, Gary Doy, is an accomplished industrial designer and entrepreneur with a career spanning over 30 years and several design patents to his name. In 1997, Gary co-founded luxury transport design consultancy, Design Q, following his experience as an interior and exterior designer at Jaguar Cars.
Gary was the driving force behind the launch of Pitch Aircraft Seating in 2010, which was at the forefront of innovating economy cabin seating for the commercial aviation industry. Having delivered two certified seat models to the market, in collaboration with sustainable materials experts, Gary developed a pioneering concept for a fully sustainable, ultra-lightweight aircraft seat for single-aisle aircraft.
